Poor Sarah Palin.. now we know...
While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old Alaskan rancher, who's hand was caught in the gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man.
Eventually the topic got around to Palin and her bid.
The old rancher said, "Well, ya know, Palin is a 'Post Turtle'".
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked, “What’s a 'post turtle' ?
The old rancher said, "When you're driving down a country road you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle".
The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so he continued to explain. "You know she didn't get up there by herself, she doesn't belong up there, and she doesn't know what to do while she's up there, and you just wonder what kind of dummy put her up there to begin with".

Mr. MOM
So, Mom leaves town on business. I become Mr. Mom.
Veggies? Fruits? A balanced diet? Hey, that's when mom is in town. Fast food? Who has time to cook. That home made mac-'n-cheese mommy made? Well, it will always be there for the next meal.
When mom leaves town, the alarm clock rudely wakes me up at 5:45am. Why get up so early? To prepare a wonderful breakfast for the kids! The meal that breaks the fast - of course. It is simple - Pop in those frozen waffles in the toaster, put some syrup and some whipped cream on it - (yeah, did I mention whipped cream? ... the kids love it!), and did I mention milk? Chocolate milk that is. Speaking of Chocolate... I have come to the conclusion that Chocolate is either a fruit or a vegetable. Seriously, why even bother analyzing this important stuff. After all my son explained it to us once that "Chocolate is on tippy-top of the of the food pyramid". He is such a smart boy! It sure helps that our kids make their own beds in the morning (house rules, you know!).
Ahh the evening... Violin lessons, swimming lessons, homework, baths, reading time, and lights out for the kids by 7:45pm!
This is life for Mr. Mom. But, we are always happy when mommy comes home!

I think it was July, 2002 when I first got my digital camera - where else but at Best Buy - near the Portland Airport. Since then, I have captured over 11,000 "moments in time". I enjoy taking pictures of my family, my kids, and open space in front of me. The tool - A Sony Cybershot DSC P9. I love that open space in front of me. Lately, there is a sense of imagination that captures my "eye" at the Oregon Coast. It amazes me how that vast open "nothingness" can be viewed so magically through the lens of my "digi baby".
Hope you enjoy my pictures!
